Luxury craftsman style hotel located right at park with direct and easy access to downtown Disney and the parks. Service was wonderful: they came by offering turndown service, the poolside waiters were courteous and helpful, and the front desk staff was quick and responsive. Housekeeping did a great job and even left a Christmas note and stickers for the kids. The hotel has easy access to the park or downtown Disney, making it very close to many restaurants and lots of shopping. Spa services are available on site as well as holiday programming like carol singers and a giant Christmas tree in the lobby. Large hallways, accessible, nice views of lobby from balconies, parking garage. Overall, amazing stay.

My second favorite hotel, but my favorite by design are style. The most beautiful hotel. The host and extremely polite and professional. I booked a 3 bedroom villa and took my entire family and their kids. They said it was their most favorite trip ever.

So nice to be walking distance from both theme parks, the pool was awesome and staff was constantly checking in on us the whole time we swam! Complimentary sun screen and after sun care, they also had free swim diapers! Our suite had toothbrushes and tooth paste in case you forgot yours! And the in room coffee was SO yummy! Can't speak highly enough of the staff everyone was so patient every time I got turned around and needed directions and helpful when my daughter puked in the lobby

We have stayed at all three Disneyland properties over the years. This was our first at the Grand Californian. We were celebrating a special anniversary so we decided to splurge. I will honestly say this hotel was a big disappointment. The rooms are not unique or special in any way and there is no special Disney theming. They do have a lovely pool, a few restaurant options and a spa. This may be a better option for a conference vs a Disney vacation. Disney gives you one lightening lane pass per stay and no more early park entry. This hotel is not worth the price. We have stayed at the Grand Floridian-Disney World multiple times and I would encourage you to stay there when in Orlando.

PROS: - LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Within California Adventure Park. You get tired or need to change, you just walk on over to your hotel room! The absolute best!! - Cleanliness. Turndown service is free. - Room service and restaurant food did not disappoint. Fresh food. Try the room service spaghetti!! The best I've ever had. Room service was faster than other places I've stayed at. - park views from the hidden terraces - if you book through Disney directly you get a travel extras package with discounts to some shops and restaurants. You also get a premium lanyard and pin (while supplies last) - knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful staff - free tours of the hotel for guests - stunning architecture and lobby design - live music in the lobby - gift shop with everything from Disney items down to Ben Gay for the aches and pains. - Beautiful pools. Slide pool for the kiddos. CONS - no parking structure right next to hotel. If you don't do valet, you will have a walk. - no water bottles in your room. Take your own larger water bottle to fill up for your morning coffee. - non guests are allowed in the main lobby area as well. When you want to go down and enjoy the rocking chairs by the fireplace or leather couches, it is pretty packed. Some days we couldn't find a seat to sit and listen to the piano playing. - It is pricey, but you get what you pay for. - restaurant we wanted to eat at was under construction..call before you go.

Staying at the Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and spa was a real treat. Beautiful hotel with a roaring fire down in the main area that where people could sit and enjoy. Decor and the hotel itself was beautiful. Good restaurants within the facility itself. And I loved the fact that we could literally walk out of our hotel and either right into California Adventure or in the other direction come out on Downtown Disney.

This is a wonderful and magical place to stay if you love Disney! Be aware that it is very busy, you can hear all the joy, fun screaming and other things from California Adventure depending on what room you have. This may be an issue for some people. We just brought ear plugs and it was just fine. The service and staff are very welcoming and helpful. There are few places that give the attention to details and art the way Disney does.

Stately hotel, impeccable service, and my kids love the little rocking chairs in front of the tv showing Mickey cartoons. We were upgraded to a pool view upon checking in and adored the cast member who helped us. She bejeweled a birthday pin for my oldest and shared stories since she’s been with the hotel for many years. Really wish I could remember her name! Loved the restaurant options from hearthstone lounge to storytellers cafe and Napa rose, all on site. The gift shop has GCH specific pins with chip and dale, which my oldest pin collecting child loved. All in a great stay and can’t get more convenient than this. Only bummer is the discontinuation of early entry - hopefully they bring that back!
